At WWDC 2025, Apple announced a new dedicated Games app coming to Mac, iPhone, and iPad with features like leaderboards, matchmaking, and integration with Apple Arcade. Engadget’s Jessica Conditt describes it as «a revamp of Game Center» that behaves «more like a modern gaming hub, a la Xbox or GOG Galaxy.» From the report: You can see what your friends are playing and challenge them to specific feats in certain titles. The library tab will include every game you’ve ever downloaded from the App Store, allowing you to booth them up right there. On Mac, a Games app overlay makes communication tools, audio controls, Bluetooth connections and live battery levels accessible at any time. ← You may like to read: → China Shuts Down AI Tools During Nationwide College Exams Apple Bows To Kremlin Pressure To Remove Leading VPNs From Russian App Store Apple Faces 25% Tariff Threat Unless iPhone Manufacturing Moves To US Sysadmins Rage Over Apple’s ‘Nightmarish’ SSL/TLS Cert Lifespan Cuts Trump Tells Apple CEO To Avoid Manufacturing in India Trump Says Tim Cook Called Him To Complain About the EU Apple Lets Developers Tap Into Its Offline AI Models
